Flea Market and Craft Store Christmas Table Decor

Flea Market and Craft Store Christmas Table Decor

I try not to buy a bunch of new Christmas decorations each year that I just have to store. So I try to recycle, re-use and incorporate items that I already have sitting around the house.  This year I have managed to add to my collection of milk glass some additional pieces that I found from flea markets and estate sales at very good prices. (why buying all of this at flea markets fits into my a-ok list and new Christmas decor doesn’t is beyond me…!)

So this year I decided to use some of my milk white pieces on my dining room table with some items that I usually put on my mantel that have just come from craft stores; candles shaped like pine trees, bottle brush trees, white garland and other sparkly floral picks.

not sure if you can see, but I tucked some fiberfill batting that is used for stuffing pillows into the cups and placed the bottle brush trees on top.  Kind of looks like snow!  I used Epsom salt around the base of the silver pine tree and the doe figurine on the milk white cake plate.

I made chenille poinsettias about 5 years ago after watching a Martha Stewart Christmas craft DVD I bought at K-mart!  I think they turned out cute and really look old-fashioned.

The green pine tree in the foreground is actually a candle, as well as the silver ones in the background and the large one under the glass dome with the doe.  I have had them for years and they have managed to still look terrific!  I pack them gently in tissue paper each year

Just look at this cute ’40’s doe figurine I found for $5!  How cute is she?! and she is in perfect condition.  I just love her and I might find a year round place for her!

I still have some rearranging and tidying up to do of the overall look but I think it might work….
